Two bloggers that I truly admire listed this book as a great read, and it did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. Someone gave me this book on my 30th birthday. I was sifting through my gifts and found it at the bottom of one of my gift bags. I have been so grateful for this gift and it came at the perfect time in my life. If you need some encouragement to move forward and pursue your passion, this is the book for you. Jen has a way of igniting a fire that will make you believe in yourself again and go for it!
“ What I know for sure” blessed me in so many different ways. Oprah reminds us that everything that happens in our lives is aligned. There is no such thing as out of the blue. Our thoughts, desires, and passions have power for us to create the things we want to see and come to fruition in our lives. This book really makes you reflect over your life on the things that you know for sure.
This book is the epitome of Black Girl Magic. Ms. Elaine Welteroth is the second African American to be named the editor in chief of Teen Vogue magazine. She was promoted to this role at the age of 29, which has made her the youngest editor in Conde’ Naste history. This book is phenomenal as she takes you on a journey about self- discovery in finding her own identity as a bi-racial woman. She breaks down all kinds of stereotypes as she overcomes barriers and climbs to the top. Every woman can find a piece of themselves in this book, it is a must read
The truth is we start a lot projects, but how many do we actually see to the finish line? In this book, Jon teaches us how to take the pressure off and have fun with reaching our goals; through practical advice, laughter, and encouragement. We all battle with different levels of perfectionism rules that keep us from achieving the mindset needed to complete our goals and getting to the finish line. Jon covers all the rules. Practice these principles and give yourself the gift of finish!
